About Dr. Nedim Makarević
Dr. Nedim Makarević was born in Doboj (Bosnia and Herzegovina) end of 1974. He completed his elementary and secondary school in Doboj and after that he started his study in Electrical Engineering (mechatronics) at University of Applied Sciences in Germany / Heilbronn. He made his Doctor of Business administration focusing on the role of IT-Security impacting strategic management. He is native speaker of Bosnian language, but he also speaks fluently German and English language.
When it comes to his working experience, Dr. Nedim Makarević established and worked for AIRNET Group as CEO and Senior Consultant. Since almost fifteen years he operated all over the world but mainly in Germany. His customers were: Sanofi-Aventis, VolksWagen, Audi, Daimler-Benz, Bundeswehr, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Telekom and many others. He worked also for the goverments of: Malaysia, Germany and Bosnia Herzegovina.
He served as Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Pakistan and Afganistan.

Dr. Nedim Makarević is interested in scientific research. He published several publications regarding IT Security in indexed academic journals. His fields of interest are: Management and Information Systems, Information Security, IT Security, Business Administration, Information Technologies. He is author of book entitled “Influence of IT Security on banks’ competitiveness” published by Lambert Academic Publishing.
